What is Maitra?
A Practice of Care and Confidence
Maitra is a modern take on the Sanskrit word Maitri, which means loving-kindness or benevolence and is often rooted in Buddhist and yogic traditions, emphasizing compassion for oneself first, then extending it to others as a path to well-being and harmony.
Maitra evokes warmth, trust and balance. It invites self-reflection, the grace of listening, and the wisdom found in genuine connection.
